The offense last year was our peak under Corny, which means top 35
It's hard to say we have a "good" OC when our offense is outside the top 40 in scoring when it's stacked with talent and the defense sucks so we know we have to put up points. The conference sucks to boot which makes it even worse, soon we'll see what he can do with 3 star guys and not all the 4 stars we've been playing the last few years.
Last year we had:
- The best offensive line in school history, 5 guys who will likely get shots in the NFL (Darrisaw, Smith, Hoffman, Nester, Tenuta)
- A top 5 running back in the country
- Three 4 star QBs, one of whom was the returning starter
- A day 2 draft pick at TE in Mitchell
- 2 returning 4 star starters at WR
We proceeded to underperform 2016, a team that had similar talent but was brand new to whatever the "system" is that we run.
